INGRAM MICRO ANNOUNCES NEW PARTNERSHIP AMERICA
PARTICIPANTS
SANTA ANA, Calif. July 9, 1997
Ingram Micro Inc., the world's largest distributor of technology
products and services, announced today that it has added 34 vendors
to its trademark government reseller program, Partnership America.
The participants offer federal, state and local and education discounts
to government resellers.
Partnership America helps resellers, VARs and systems integrators
tap into the government information technology market. It offers
a range of services, including bid pricing, proposal support, contract
management and processing support, state and local programs, state
term schedule support, dedicated government account managers, technology
refreshment, credit services and configuration support. Since its
inception in 1995, Ingram Micro's Partnership America program has
signed on more than 200 vendors to serve the federal, state and
local government sectors.
"We are pleased that our vendor partners are recognizing the importance
of the ever-growing government market and turning to Ingram Micro
to reach government resellers," said Curt Cornell, director of Ingram
Micro's government division. "Our Partnership America program is
wider in scope than any other government reseller program. The addition
of these new top-tier vendors demonstrates that our manufacturer
partners are taking advantage of this."
