INGRAM MICRO CONTINUES TO EXPAND PRODUCT OFFERING OF SUPPLIES AND ACCESSORIES MARKETCompany Adds Fax and Copier SuppliesSANTA ANA, Calif., Jan. 5, 1999Ingram Micro Inc. announced today that it is continuing to expand its Supplies and Accessories Division by offering fax and copier supplies. Since its inception in April 1997, the division has maintained success for Ingram Micro as it has capitalized on the company's core competencies, including partnerships with more than 1,400 manufacturers and access to 55,000 products. "We are excited that we can now provide fax and copier supplies to our already extensive product offering," said Bob Brown, director of Ingram Micro's Supplies and Accessories Division. "The division serves as the one-stop source for the technology needs of our resellers and our ability to source fax and copier supplies will allow them to deliver increased customer service while help grow their own business." Ingram Micro's aggressive growth in the number of supplies and accessories products is the result of adding new lines and broadening relationships with manufacturers. This division has introduced many new services to help meet all the supplies and accessories needs. As a sales tool, Ingram Micro designed Workstation Essentials, a four-color, 56-page guide featuring many of the most popular products in the market. The company also has introduced some electronic services and offers customers the opportunity to search for products and check real-time price and availability, as well as track orders and review open and shipped products.
