INGRAM MICRO ANNOUNCES EXECUTIVE CHANGES IN MEDITERRANEAN AREA

Brussels, Belgium; Nov. 2, 1998

Ingram Micro Inc., the world's leading wholesale distributor of technology products and services, today announced the promotion of David Moscato, 36, from managing director, Ingram Micro Italy, to vice president, Mediterranean region.

In his new role, Moscato will focus on developing Ingram Micro market opportunities in the Mediterranean region as well as being responsible for Ingram Micro Italy and Ingram Micro Spain. Moscato will continue to be based in Milan (Italy) and will report directly to Robert Grambo, senior vice president and chief operating officer, Ingram Micro Europe.

Moscato joined Ingram Micro Italy in 1991, where he has built up the company from a greenfield site to its current No. 1 position in the Italian market.

Commenting on the promotions, Robert Grambo said, "David, who founded Ingram Micro Italy in 1991, led the company to success. He increased its turnover, expanded its role on the Italian market, while contributing to the professional growth of the Italian associates. I congratulate David on this well-deserved promotion, and I am sure that he will continue to be successful in this newly expanded role."
