INGRAM MICRO SWEEPS PERFORMANCE CATEGORY IN COMPUTER RESELLER NEWS DISTRIBUTOR STUDYSANTA ANA, Calif., Nov. 10, 1998Ingram Micro Inc., the world's largest wholesale distributor of technology products and services, today announced that a random survey conducted among 18,000 subscribers of Computer Reseller News, the industry's premier trade publication, rated Ingram Micro's performance No. 1 in all categories for 1998. Computer resellers were asked to rate their distributors' performance in six categories: computer systems, software, mass storage, multimedia, networking and peripherals. Participating resellers judged product availability as the most important criteria, followed by delivery (accuracy), responsiveness, price, product knowledge/tech support, access to sales representatives, trust/understanding of reseller business, product breadth, online information/availability, credit availability and marketing support. Computer Reseller News is the leading computer reseller publication in the United States with more than 115,000 subscribers.
