INGRAM MICRO ANNOUNCES
EXECUTIVE PROMOTIONS
SANTA ANA, Calif., Aug. 5, 1998
Ingram Micro Inc., the world's leading wholesale
distributor of technology products and services,
today announced the promotion of Patricia Burns,
30, to vice president, technology and services for
Ingram Micro Europe. Also promoted was Joseph
Larkin, 39, to the position of vice president of
development. Both are Ingram Micro executives in
the company's information technology-worldwide
(IT-W) division.
Burns' new responsibilities will focus on
establishing technology standardization and
operating efficiencies in Ingram Micro's IT-W
division in Europe as well overseeing the
continuing development of electronic commerce.
She joined Ingram Micro in June 1997 as senior
director of technology and services for the IT-W
division supporting the European region. While
serving in this position, Burns played a key role
in accelerating standardization of hardware,
software and services solutions across Europe.
Burns holds two bachelor's degrees, in economics
and business, from the University of Pittsburgh in
Pittsburgh.
As vice president of development, Larkin, a
10-year-veteran of Ingram Micro, will focus on the
successful deployment of various upcoming business
applications at Ingram Micro in an effort to
support an expanding global market.
Prior to his current position, he served as
director of systems development, where he was
responsible for worldwide systems improvements for
Ingram Micro. Since 1988, Larkin has been involved
in several IT projects including sales, finance and
electronic commerce applications. He holds a
bachelor's degree in computer systems and a
master's degree in business administration from
Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester,
N.Y.
