INGRAM MICRO PROMOTES MICHAEL
D. WALKEY TO VICE PRESIDENT OF PURCHASING,
SYSTEMS
SANTA ANA, Calif., May 27, 1998
Ingram Micro Inc., the world's leading wholesale
distributor of technology products and services,
today announced the promotion of Mike Walkey, 33,
to vice president of purchasing, systems. He is
based in Santa Ana, Calif., at the company's
worldwide corporate headquarters.
Walkey, an eight-year veteran of Ingram Micro,
will serve in this newly created position by
leading a staff of approximately 30 associates in
purchasing CPUs and systems, an area of growth and
complexity.
"We are pleased to recognize Mike's outstanding
contributions to the company and specifically the
purchasing department," said Victoria Cotten,
Ingram Micro's senior vice president of purchasing.
"His experience and knowledge will continue to add
significant value to our management team."
He holds a bachelor of science degree in
business management from Pepperdine University.
