INGRAM MICRO TO DISTRIBUTE NETWORK ASSOCIATES' TOTAL NETWORK VISIBILITY (FORMERLY SNIFFER) PRODUCT LINE

Ingram Micro Inc., the world's leading wholesale distributor of technology products and services, today announced an agreement with Santa Clara, Calif.-based Network Associates Inc. to distribute its Total Network Visibility (formerly Sniffer) product line throughout the United States.

Network Associates (formed by the merger of McAfee Associates and Network General) offers the Total Network Visibility suite (TNV), a complete set of troubleshooting software tools for network professionals who need to analyze LAN/WAN network problems. The suite provides extensions to troubleshoot common database traffic, ISDN and proprietary protocols. Network Associates offers four levels, covering network types from 10M Ethernet to backbone ATM.

"We are excited to add Network Associates' TNV product line to our current product offering," said Sue Sandoval, director of software sales at Ingram Micro. "Our real-time shipping and ability to inventory licenses will help us to better service our reseller customers. Distributing the TNV product line allows us to pass on a great incremental revenue opportunity to our resellers."

Ingram Micro has dedicated trained partners representatives to support this new business niche. The company's standard real-time shipping and revenue billing through its distribution centers will also apply to the new product line.
