Consortium Of National
Resellers Will Leverage Ingram Micro's Breadth Of
Products And Provide Complete Computer Telephony
Solutions To End Users
LAS VEGAS, Nevada, Nov. 17, 1997
Ingram Micro Inc., the world's leading wholesale
distributor of technology products and services,
announced today that its Telecom Integration
Division has reached an agreement with five
national computer telephony integration (CTI)
resellers, who collectively form the CTI
Consortium. The new organization is dedicated to
the development of a national network of resellers
that is committed to providing complete solutions
for a variety of end users.
"The mission of the CTI Consortium is to create
an alliance of leading value-added voice and data
resellers (VARs) to provide cost-effective,
integrated solutions for commercial, industrial,
and institutional organizations nationwide," said
Daniel M. Testa, president of Telecommunications
Concepts and co-founder of the CTI Consortium.
"During the next 12 months, the CTI Consortium will
actively select solutions providers across the
nation, who will benefit from the Consortium's
special programs and services."
Laura Skinner, vice president and general
manager of Ingram Micro's Telecom Integration
Division added, "We are very excited that the CTI
Consortium selected Ingram Micro as their preferred
distribution partner. Ingram Micro will offer
Consortium members a number of unrivaled
attributes: including access to 48,000 products
from 1,300 manufacturers; support from a 150-person
professional technical support staff; strong
financial programs and customized educational
programs. In addition, members will receive
referrals to other VARs in order to create total
solutions." Skinner added that Ingram Micro was
also chosen for its ability to lead the group
through the convergence of the voice and data
communication industries, as they create more value
for the customer.
Benefits to
Members
Consortium members will gain access to Ingram
Micro's industry-leading Web site, which features
real-time pricing and product availability, online
ordering and the In-depth Library with 24,000
online documents.
Other benefits include Ingram Micro's exclusive
agreement with Lucent Technologies, which offers
interconnects and data VARs access to Lucent's
NetCare data network integration and support
services. Furthermore, Ingram Micro offers MCI's
complete portfolio of data services through its
netValue program, which is targeted to networking
VARs and interconnects. Finally, Ingram Micro will
provide the Consortium with state-of-the-art
technical education services through its agreement
with Global Knowledge Network, an international
technical classroom training organization with more
than 60 offices worldwide.

Springfield, Va.; Data Voice based in Norcross,
