INGRAM MICRO NAMES SUSAN DUGGIN VP, CONSUMER MARKETS CREDIT AND ACCOUNTS PAYABLE

Ingram Micro Inc., the world's leading wholesale distributor of technology products and services, announced today the promotion of Susan Duggin to vice president, Consumer Markets Credit and Accounts Payable.

In this position, Duggin will be responsible for credit management in the Consumer Markets Division (CMD); the accounts payable function for the company's 800 U.S. vendors; and programs linking customers and vendors. She will continue to report to Ron Hardaway, senior vice president, and chief financial officer, U.S.

"Susan has been an important part of Ingram Micro's financial programs and activities. With more than 25 years of experience in accounts payable and finance, and her background in reconciliation and systems management, Susan is the ideal person to head up CMD Credit while continuing her accounts payable responsibilities," Hardaway said.

"For customers and vendors, execution and precision are key, and Susan has demonstrated her ability by outstanding management of accounts payable and inventory accounting for the last six years. She will be a great benefit to our CMD customers, who depend on Ingram Micro to provide flexible, dependable and wide-ranging credit and finance options," he said.

Duggin will oversee more than 100 associates -- 40 in CMD Credit and 60 in Accounts Payable. She will continue to work closely with Ingram Micro's Management Information Systems Department to identify new ways to streamline and automate processes. In addition, Duggin will be responsible for the administration of price protection for resellers, as well as pass-through funds from manufacturers.

Duggin most recently served as senior director, accounts payable, a position she has held since 1994. During that time, she oversaw the company's U.S. Accounts Payable Department, including both product and non-product vendors, as well as administration of vendor discounts and rebates. She has continually worked with vendors to improve processes and systems integration.

Duggin joined the company in 1985 (when it was Micro D) as an accounts receivable supervisor. She was promoted to accounts payable manager in 1987, a position she held until she was promoted to director, accounts payable, in 1991. She was promoted to senior director, accounts payable in 1994.
