INGRAM MICRO'S CTI PROGRAM
DEBUTS AT VARVISION
Santa Ana, Calif., Oct. 28, 1997
Ingram Micro Inc., the world's leading wholesale
distributor of technology products and services,
today announced that it will cosponsor VarVision
Oct. 26 - 29 at the La Quinta Resort in Palm
Springs, Calif. The event is an opportunity for
manufacturers to meet with top VAR executives as
they determine which products and manufacturers
will be used in more than $30 billion in integrated
solutions that they deliver to their clients.
For the first time at VarVision, Ingram Micro
will present the CTI World Premier seminar, which
will be hosted by Laura Skinner, vice president and
general manager of Ingram Micro's Telecom
Integration Division. Leading CTI manufacturers
including CallWare, Dialogic, NetPhone and VocalTec
will be sponsoring the seminar. Dataquest and CMP
Channel Group analysis reports that fifty percent
of resellers polled said their customers have a
need for computer telephony integration.
Skinner said, "Today's competitive environment
demands that resellers stay current on technology
trends, such as CTI. Companies are continuing to
fuel growth in the CTI market because end users are
demanding single-source solutions, companies are
required to be successful with less resources and
open system standards are generating new
application standards. The CTI World Premier
seminar will give vendors and resellers a good
indication of where the CTI market is headed."
Manufacturers are guaranteed scheduled, private
appointments with VARs and systems integrators to
discuss product strategies. Manufacturers will have
the opportunity to meet one-on-one with 160 of the
industry's leading VARs and systems integrators to
present their latest products and technologies. The
event's NetVision Power Center area will display
various manufacturer product demos.
