INGRAM MICRO TEAMS WITH SUN MICROSYSTEMS, NETSCAPE COMMUNICATIONS AND 3COM TO HOST FOUR-CITY INTERNET SEMINAR FOR RESELLERS

SANTA ANA, Calif., Oct. 20, 1997
Ingram Micro Inc.'s Open Systems Division is teaming with Sun Microsystems, Netscape Communications and 3Com to host a four-city seminar to help resellers learn how to capitalize on the growing Internet market.

The Foundations for the Future seminar will address the business needs for Java computing, enterprise software and high-bandwidth data products. The seminar is tailored for managers, directors and vice presidents of sales, IT and business development.

There is no charge for resellers to attend, and Sun-authorized resellers who attend will receive maintenance credit towards Competency 2000 authorization requirements.

"We think education is a valuable tool in addressing the ever-changing Internet market. Sun, Netscape and 3Com are setting the pace for Internet technologies and solutions. We wanted to give our resellers the opportunity to meet face-to-face with these manufacturers to better understand how to design complete solutions for their customers," said David Ochser director, UNIX marketing for Ingram Micro.

"The creation of the Foundations for the Future seminars is evidence of our strong relationships with these manufacturers, and the investment Ingram Micro continues to make in training its resellers."

The series kicks off Oct. 28 in San Francisco, Calif., at the Grand Hyatt in Union Square, located at 345 Stockton Street. Additional dates include: Oct. 30, in Seattle, WA, at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center, located at 800 Convention Place; Nov. 11, in Scottsdale, Ariz., at the Scottsdale Conference Resort, located at 770 East McCormick Pkwy.; and Nov. 13 in Salt Lake City, UT, at the DoubleTree Hotel, located at 255 South West Temple.
