INGRAM MICRO APPOINTS VINCENZO BAGGIO TO VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING IN EUROPE

SANTA ANA, Calif. and BRUSSELS, Belgium, Sept. 29, 1997
Ingram Micro Inc., the world's largest distributor of technology and services, announced today that it has appointed Vincenzo Baggio, 42, as vice president of marketing for its European operation. In this position, Baggio will be responsible for expanding Ingram Micro's marketing coverage throughout 12 European countries.

Baggio will report to Phil Ellett, president of Ingram Micro Europe. Ellett said, "I am pleased that Vincenzo has joined our marketing team and am confident that he will be an instrumental force in the growth and progress of Ingram Micro's marketing department in Europe. With more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience in the electronic industry, he is an outstanding addition to our group."

From 1987 to 1990, Baggio worked as the sales and marketing manager for ITT Multicomponents' Canadian operation. In 1990, he was promoted to director of marketing and business development for Europe and North America and stationed at ITT's office in Milan. He moved to Brussels in 1992 to serve as the marketing director for Europe and North America. In 1993, he began working for Farnell Electronics Services, the third largest electronic components distributor in the world, as marketing director for Europe and North America. Baggio completed the Advanced Management Program at the London Business School in 1985.
