INGRAM MICRO GIVES EDUCATION RESELLERS A BOOST WITH BACK-TO-SCHOOL PROMOTIONSSANTA ANA, Calif., Sept. 15, 1997 "Traditionally, September is one of the busiest sales months for resellers that serve the education market. Manufacturer Discounts In addition to ongoing educational-discount pricing on more than 100 vendor lines, Ingram Micro has worked with several manufacturers to secure discounts on educational products just for back-to-school. Participating manufacturers include 3COM, including U.S. Robotics product; Borland; Iomega; Macromedia; Symantec; and Targus. Education Catalogs The K-12 Catalog and the Academic Catalog feature more than 2,000 hardware and software products. Available now, these catalogs include pricing for resellers' customers, and can be customized with the reseller's logo, name, address and phone number. The catalogs are targeted toward end-users and serve as a sales tool. Resellers can purchase catalogs by calling their Ingram Micro sales representative at 1 (800) 456-8000. "Techno Teacher" Promotion and Back-to-School Sweepstakes Resellers can get free posters, regional or national end-user leads, a price list template, monthly fax updates via Ingram Micro's Academic Fast Facts and monthly chances to win American Express Gift Cheques in September and October. As part of Techno Teacher, Ingram Micro is also offering a Back-to-School Sweepstakes with $15,000 in prizes for educators and schools.
