INGRAM MICRO AND GOLIVE
SYSTEMS SIGN DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT
Ingram Micro Becomes First Wholesaler To
Distribute GoLive CyberStudio In The United
States;
Will Also Distribute In Canada And Latin
America
SANTA ANA, Calif., Aug. 26, 1997
Ingram Micro Inc., the world's leading wholesale
distributor of technology products and services,
and GoLive Systems Inc., announced today that the
companies have signed an agreement making Ingram
Micro the first wholesaler to distribute GoLive
CyberStudio software in the United States. Ingram
Micro will also distribute the software throughout
Canada and Latin America.
GoLive CyberStudio is a professional solution
for visual layout, HTML source-code editing and
Web-site management. With this Web-authoring tool,
print and graphic designers can transfer their
skills and expertise to the Web. This creates a
unique product solution for resellers who can now
go to their already established graphic design
markets with a new product offering. GoLive
CyberStudio also reaches beyond the typical WYSIWYG
design tool to include HTML source-code and
JavaScript tools, which helps Web designers and
programmers make sites dynamic and
user-interactive.
Al Mann, Ingram Micro's vice president of
purchasing, said, "We are proud to offer GoLive
CyberStudio software to our resellers. GoLive
CyberStudio allows the Web author to utilize
multimedia features easily to create and manage a
professional-quality Web site -- without performing
HTML programming."
"Solid distribution is a key step in building a
successful sales channel," said Nilofer
Merchant-Statton, vice president of worldwide sales
for GoLive Systems. "With Ingram Micro as our
partner, GoLive is able to focus its strengths on
key initiatives -- channel marketing, training and
market development -- that will drive product
sell-through."
The distribution agreement between Ingram Micro
and GoLive provides a winning combination for the
channel. In addition, GoLive is drumming up user
and reseller demand through their GoLive Alliance
programs including a 24-city roadshow, training,
lead qualification and promotional campaigns.
