INGRAM MICRO APPOINTS TWO EXECUTIVES IN JAPANSANTA ANA, Calif., and TOKYO, April 7,
1997 "We are very fortunate to welcome Mr. Nanbo and Mr. Ishida to our company," said Ulla Rodman, vice president of Ingram Micro's Export Division. "These two executives are filling very strategic positions for Ingram Micro as we expand our export activities in Japan. Their strong distribution background, coupled with our desire to increase our local customer and manufacturer relationships, will become a winning combination." Mr. Nanbo joined Ingram Micro from Tokyo-based Catena Corporation, one of the largest distributors in Japan. He will be responsible for Ingram Micro's day-to-day operations, setting strategies and recruiting key customers. During his 12-year tenure with Catena, Mr. Nanbo served in a number of executive management positions, culminating with his appointment to general manager of purchasing and procurement administration in 1995. At Catena, he supervised all procurement transactions which generated over 40 billion yen per year. Mr. Nanbo holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Chuo University. Prior to joining Ingram Micro, Mr. Ishida served as manager of sales for Technocom Corporation Ltd., a Tokyo-based distributor, for the past three years. From 1992 to 1994, he was sales manager for Ashisuto & Computer Associate Co. Ltd., a distributor of mainframe development tool software. Prior to that he worked for 11 years for Japan System Engineering Col. Ltd. Mr. Ishida graduated with a degree in law from Kangawa University. Ingram Micro Inc.
