INGRAM MICRO'S TELECOM
INTEGRATION DIVISION SIGNS LETTER OF INTENT WITH
ACTIVE VOICE CORPORATION
Ingram Micro to Distribute TeLANophy,
PhoneMax, Repartee, Replay Plus, and Replay
Products
LAS VEGAS, Nev., Nov. 19, 1996
Ingram Micro Inc. announced today it has signed
a letter of intent with Seattle-based Active Voice
Corporation, to distribute its computer telephony
integration (CTI) and voice processing hardware and
software products throughout the United States.
"We are very excited that Active Voice, a
pioneer in CTI and voice processing, will join
Ingram Micro's roster of CTI solution providers,"
said Laura Skinner, vice president and general
manager of Ingram Micro's Telecom Integration
Division. "Active Voice's product line expands our
offering of voice messaging and call control of
both hardware and software products."
Under the terms of the prospective agreement,
Ingram Micro will distribute Active Voice's entire
line of award-winning CTI products: the TeLANophy
suite of desktop unified messaging and call
management applications, including ViewMail,
ViewFax, ViewCall and E-Mail Integration, as well
as the Repartee, Replay and Replay Plus voice
processing systems.
The partnership will also mean additional
resources for Active Voice distributors, who will
have access to Ingram Micro's extensive dealer
services. These include training and certification
programs, engineering support services, such as
configuration centers, network consulting and
implementation, as well as dealer financing,
inventory floor planning, and leasing services.
"This synergistic partnership enables both
companies to increase their distribution of CTI
products through the data/value-added reseller
channel," said Robert G. Hooson, Active Voice's
national sales manager. "Ingram Micro's technical
expertise and superior service will enhance
services for existing dealers and expand our
product distribution beyond the traditional
Interconnect channel."
Active Voice corporation is a leading
manufacturer of PC-based voice processing systems
and computer-telephone integration products, with
more than 38,000 installations worldwide. The

China, India, The Netherlands and the United
Kingdom. Active Voice products are sold through a
