INGRAM MICRO INTRODUCES SERVICE NET
Ingram Micro Signs Exclusive Distribution Agreement With ACCENT Marketing

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 18, 1996
Ingram Micro Inc. announced today it has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Louisville, Ky.-based ACCENT Marketing Inc., to market their Service Net service contract program. Service Net will provide Ingram Micro's resellers with a solution for multimanufacturer extended warranties, which will cover all brands of computers and peripherals, including house brands and clones, as long as they have a one-year manufacturer's warranty.

"We are very excited about this exclusive agreement with Service Net," said Tom Joyce, director of Value-added Services for Ingram Micro. "Our large base of systems resellers will be able to take advantage of this unique service offering."

Greg Gadbois, national sales director of Service Net, said, "Our relationship with Ingram Micro offers resellers of all sizes the opportunity to provide added value for end-users, add gross margins to their sales, retain service revenue and compete at a higher level."

Service Net's Programs
Service Net offers three program levels geared to meet various customer needs. It's Standard and Select Programs extend product protection to four years after equipment purchase. The Standard Program protects computers, peripherals, and home office products with at least a one year parts warranty. The Select Program protects personal computers with a three-year manufacturer's warranty. Service Net's third offering, the Uplift Program, provides customers with on-site service for one year during the first year of product ownership.

With a network of over 20,000 national service locations, Service Net helps resellers extend their market coverage, allowing those resellers who provide on-site service to be qualified as authorized Service Net service providers. In addition, resellers can enhance their margins by reselling the Service Net warranty.

ACCENT Marketing is a leader in service contract marketing and direct marketing services. Since 1992, ACCENT has been serving major retailers and manufacturers by providing turnkey direct marketing services for service contract programs.
