INGRAM MICRO APPOINTS VICE PRESIDENT AND WORLDWIDE TREASURERSANTA ANA, Calif., Sept. 19, 1996 "We are very excited that Jim has agreed to join the Ingram Micro team," said Jerre L. Stead, CEO and chairman of Ingram Micro. "Jim's extensive global finance experience will be a tremendous asset to our company." Ricketts joins Ingram Micro from Sundstrand Corporation, a Rockford, Ill.-based leading manufacturer of systems and components for international aerospace and industrial markets. During his five-year tenure with the company, he served as vice president and treasurer. Prior to that, Ricketts worked for 19 years for the Ford Motor Company where he was a member of the corporate finance staff in the United States, with treasury responsibilities for both Asia-Pacific and Europe. From 1977 to 1981, he lived in Australia and held a variety of positions with Ford Asia-Pacific, including treasurer and financial analysis manager for both the regional group and Ford Japan Export Operations. In 1981 Ricketts moved to Japan and became finance director of Hokkai Ford Tractor. Two years later he rejoined Ford's corporate finance department in the United States with responsibilities for Asia-Pacific and European financing. In 1986, he was named treasurer of Ford Motor Company's operations in Mexico, and in 1988 returned to the United States to become vice president and treasurer of Ford New Holland, Inc., its agricultural and equipment division. Ricketts is a member of the Financial Executive Institute and the National Association of Corporate Treasurers. In addition, he is a member of the Rockford Rotary Club, and serves on both the executive board and finance committee of the Boy Scouts of America, Blackhawk Area Council. He also serves on the boards of the Rockford Symphony Orchestra and the Center for Sight and Hearing Impaired. He earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration from The Ohio State University.
