INGRAM MICRO APPOINTS NEW
SENIOR DIRECTOR OF VAR SALES, WEST COAST
SANTA ANA, Calif., Sept. 16, 1996
Ingram Micro Inc. announced today the
appointment of Mark Mahoney to senior director of
VAR sales for the west coast. Mahoney, who has
created and executed strategic programs that have
resulted in significant sales growth over the last
two years, oversees a staff of 10 sales managers
and about 150 sales associates in the licensing,
partnering and telemarketing divisions.
"Mark's contribution to Ingram Micro's growth in
the VAR channel has been critical to our success,"
said Robert Grambo, senior vice president of
telesales.
Mahoney will be responsible for developing
Ingram Micro's memory brokerage; enhancing the VAR
recruiting group to help bring new customers to
Ingram Micro; and managing the vendor sales
champion program, which is designed to heighten the
expertise of the Ingram Micro sales force and
provide top resellers advanced vendor support.
Mahoney joined Ingram Micro in 1990 as a sales
associate. Previously he was a field sales
representative for a 3M industrial distributor.
Mahoney holds a bachelor of science degree from
California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.
