INGRAM MICRO NAMED "LARGE BUSINESS EXPORTER" OF THE YEAR
The Company Is Recognized For Excellence In International Trade
SANTA ANA, Calif., July 15, 1996
Ingram Micro Inc. announced today that the World
Trade Center Association of Orange County recently
honored the company with its "Large Business
Exporter" award for 1996. The award is annually
bestowed on a company that has successfully
overcome stringent export barriers and increased
its export sales based on the total percentage of
sales.
"We are very appreciative of this important
award," said Ulla Rodman, senior director of Ingram
Micro's U. S. Export Division. "We have come a long
way since we started our Export Division here in
Santa Ana in 1988. Our sales in 1992 were $32
million compared to $170 million in 1995."
Rodman added, "we are now serving resellers in
56 countries through five export offices located in
Miami, Florida; Santa Ana, California; Tokyo,
Japan; Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Quito,
Ecuador."
Ingram Micro competed against three of Orange
County's most prominent companies: Allergan,
Beckman Instruments, and Unisys Corporation.
