Gregory M. Spierkel

Executive Vice President And President, Ingram Micro Europe

Gregory M. Spierkel serves as executive vice president, Ingram Micro Inc. and president, Ingram Micro Europe. He is based in Brussels, Belgium.

Spierkel, who joined Ingram Micro in August 1997, brings to the position more than 20 years of broad-ranging experience in global operations management and has succeeded in managing other complex and large-scale operations throughout the world prior to his tenure with Ingram Micro.

Spierkel last served as senior vice president, Ingram Micro and president, Ingram Micro Asia-Pacific, where he was instrumental in the acquisition of Electronic Resources Limited, Singapore.

Before joining Ingram Micro, Spierkel spent 11 years at Canada-based Mitel Corp., a multinational manufacturer of leading PBX, software and semiconductor products. There he held a variety of executive management positions, last serving as vice president of global sales and marketing.

From 1992 to 1996, Spierkel was president of Mitel Inc. in Reston, VA. Before that, he was based in the United Kingdom, where he was managing director of Mitel Telecom, with responsibilities over Europe and Asia. From 1989 to 1990, he was general manager of Mitel Far East Ltd. based in Hong Kong, where he was instrumental in the successful integration of an acquired subsidiary.

Spierkel holds a master’s degree in business administration from Georgetown University, Washington D.C. and a bachelor’s degree from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. He also attended the Advanced Manufacturing Program at INSEAD in Fontainbleau, France.
