INGRAM MICRO ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT OF VICTORIA COTTEN, SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, PURCHASING
SANTA ANA, Calif., June 2, 1999
Ingram Micro, Inc., the world's largest wholesale distributor of technology products and services, announced today that veteran associate, Victoria Cotten, senior vice president of purchasing, will retire from the company to pursue personal interest. Cotten joined the company in 1984 as a buyer and moved up to become a senior vice president in 1997.
Cotten's responsibilities have been assumed by Al Mann, who was promoted to senior vice president of product management and Jerry A. Lumpkin, senior vice president of product management.
Mann, 11-year Ingram Micro veteran, is responsible for software, peripherals and the Technical Product division, and Lumpkin manages ongoing PC systems, enterprise systems, components and mass storage areas.
Lumpkin joined Ingram Micro in May from Synnex Information Technologies Inc., a $2.4 billion computer product distributor, as vice president of marketing. Prior to Synnex, he spent nine years at Gates/Arrow Distributing Inc.
