Ingram Micro Award Of Excellence Winners Beat Tough Economic Conditions

Ingram Micro Honors Top Performing Business Partners At 2001 Symposium

SANTA ANA, Calif., Oct. 15, 2001 - Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), the largest global wholesale provider of technology products and supply chain management services, recently announced its 2001 Award of Excellence recipients. The awards, presented at the company's 2001 Symposium, recognize the top performing business partners by acknowledging companies that have shown excellence in profitability, sales volume and partnerships.

This year's 2001 Award of Excellence winners include Infocus Corporation, for its leadership in the peripherals category, and IBM Software, for its innovation in launching new software products. In addition, Polycom was recognized for its dedication to emerging technologies, and Veritas was honored for its commitment to the VAR/SMB segment.
