Global Partner Achieves Top Rank In Quantum's Worldwide Sales Performance For The Second Consecutive Year

SINGAPORE, Oct. 23, 2000

Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), the largest global wholesale provider of technology solutions, products and services, today announced that its Asia-Pacific subsidiary was named Quantum Corporation's worldwide largest distributor for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2000. Ingram Micro Asia-Pacific beats several distributors in North America and Europe for the second consecutive year to be honored with the award.

Ingram Micro subsidiaries in the Asia-Pacific region will include the logo in marketing communication materials and collateral as part of its recognition for the award.

Quantum presented the "No. 1 Quantum Worldwide Distributor" award to Ingram Micro at an appreciation dinner event held in Singapore on Oct. 18, 2000.
