INGRAM MICRO JOINS WITH COFIX TO DELIVER ONLINE ACCESS TO NATIONAL NETWORK OF TECHNICAL SERVICE PROVIDERS

Ingram Micros National Service Network Will Offer Information Technology Support Through Cofixs SmartMarketplace, Linking Web IT Customers With Proven Service Providers

SANTA ANA, Calif., August 2, 2000

Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), the largest global wholesale provider of technology products and services, today announced that its National Service Network (NSN) of more than 350 value-added reseller locations will provide information technology (IT) service and support through Cofix.com, an Internet marketplace designed to assist corporate technology buyers with product and service purchase decisions.

Cofix has named Ingram Micros NSN as a preferred resource for its IT services available through the Web sites Cofix SmartMarketplace. IT customers can access field service and support from NSN membership, which is comprised of more than 3,000 certified professionals at value-added reseller locations across the country. In 1999, the NSN performed more than 30,000 field service engagements.

On a five-point scale, with five being the highest rating, the NSN organization consistently receives scores between 4.4 and 4.5.
