INGRAM MICROS ENTERPRISE SOLUTIONS GROUP FIRST TO OFFER COMPLETE THIN-CLIENT SOLUTION TO TECHNOLOGY RESELLERS

SANTA ANA, Calif., July 26, 2000

Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), the world's largest wholesale provider of technology products and services, today announced that it will offer a complete thin-client solution for its customers as the first distributor to provide the MetaFrame application server solution for the Solaris operating environment from global application server software leader Citrix Systems Inc.s (NASDAQ: CTRX). The software availability establishes Ingram Micro as the only channel development provider (CDP) for Sun Microsystems, Inc. to offer the product.

By partnering with Citrix on this enterprise product, Ingram Micros Enterprise Solutions Group is able to offer our technology solution providers a competitive edge, said CJ DAngelo, business unit director for Ingram Micro. This distinction of being the only Sun CDP to offer the complete solution of a MetaFrame server, plus certified Citrix sales support, and on-call technical support provides a clear differentiation for Ingram Micro to better serve the marketplace.

As a supplement to the Citrix software and Sun hardware combination, Ingram Micro provides fully trained sales and technical support teams to bring a comprehensive solution to its customers. The Citrix server software and support is available to all Ingram Micro customers through our certified staff.

The combined offerings of Citrix MetaFrame and Sun products has supplied real customer wins. Said John Schulte, vice president, sales for Northern NEF, a Colorado Springs-based technology reseller and a customer of the Enterprise Solutions Group, We recently closed a sizeable deal using Citrix MetaFrame software and Sun, due to the ability to purchase both products from Ingram Micro. The convenience, coupled with Ingram Micros flawless execution, allowed us to focus on our core business servicing the technology needs of our enterprise customers.

The solution allows Ingram Micros solution providers to offer customers both Sun products and Citrix MetaFrame software from one source, thus making the sales and service process more efficient. The new MetaFrame server software is the only UNIX and NT-based solution on the market, and offers high-speed access to any application with any device, over any connection. It extends the reach of UNIX and Java applications across an enterprise, or from an application service provider (ASP) to users anywhere.
