INGRAM MICRO POSTS TOP SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA RANKING ON FORTUNE 500 LIST

Company Ranked No. 41 In FORTUNE 500 And In FORBES 500/Sales

SANTA ANA, Calif, April 7, 2000

Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE:IM), the world's largest wholesale provider of technology products and services, has been ranked No. 41 on the business worlds prestigious Fortune 500 list, the highest ranking by a Southern California company for revenue in 1999. The 1999 ranking marks the first year that the company has appeared among Fortune Magazines top 50 U.S. companies and represents a 14-point jump over last years ranking of 55.

Ingram Micro has also been ranked No. 41 on Forbes Magazines Forbes 500 list for sales in 1999, a 9-spot increase from its 1998 position at No. 50 on that list.
