INGRAM MICRO ENTERPRISE SOLUTIONS GROUP ANNOUNCES PROGRAMS FOR SUN RESELLERS
Companys Enterprise Solutions Group Bolsters Its Roster Of Programs
For Enterprise Technology Resellers With Enhance and Empower Programs
SANTA ANA, Calif., March 13, 2000
Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE:IM), the world's largest wholesale provider of technology products and services, today announced
a new slate of programs available from its Enterprise Solutions Group (ESG). The new Enhance and Empower programs are the latest additions to ESG's Enterprise Solutions For Success programs. These programs include lead generation opportunities, Sun-certification assistance, as well as personnel recruitment assistance. They are also designed to support resellers in providing complete solutions for the entire line of Sun Microsystems products and services purchased through Ingram Micro.
Our main objective is to partner with and invest in our resellers success, not only in selling Sun products, but in growing their business overall, said Bob Bennett, vice president and general manager, Enterprise Solutions Group at Ingram Micro. These programs offer a huge advantage to our Sun customers by providing solutions and a broader range of services resulting in higher revenues. It will give our resellers the ability to tap into a vast amount of resources surrounding our core competencies. Each of these new components is designed to stimulate our resellers' growth.
Enhance Program
Ingram Micros Enhance program is designed for resellers interested in pre- and post-engineering support and consultation to strengthen their systems engineering force. Program benefits include financial assistance toward systems engineering support, solutions for large business opportunities with extensive engineering requirements and the offsetting of a portion of recruitment costs for higher-skilled technical associates. Enhance also provides temp-to-perm hire assistance for systems engineering infrastructures, as well as support in meeting Sun competency requirements in a service-oriented model in the enterprise market.
Empower Program
Ingram Micros ESG Empower Program is designed to assist resellers in growing their Sun certification level and developing new business opportunities. Through Empower, Ingram Micro classifies resellers into categories based on revenue and Sun certification levels. Within these categories, various levels of financial assistance are offered toward training and specific marketing activities. Other valuable resources such as free lead generation and direct mail opportunities are also available to help resellers grow their Sun business in an expanding enterprise market.
