INGRAM MICRO DEBUTS EXCLUSIVE WEB SITE
TO SUPPORT WINDOWS 2000 LAUNCH

Company Offers 90-day Free Windows 2000 Support To Customers

SANTA ANA, Calif., Feb. 9, 2000

Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE:IM), the world's largest wholesale provider of technology products and services, will reinforce its commitment to Microsoft Corp.s Windows 2000 platform with the launch of an exclusive Web site on February 16 for resellers selling Windows 2000. The Windows 2000 site is accessible by registered resellers and further enhances the existing array of services offered by Ingram Micro in support of the product launch. In conjunction with Microsofts efforts, Ingram Micro plans to begin global sales of Windows 2000 on Feb. 17, 2000.

"We have created a full suite of programs and services to help our reseller customers sell and support the Windows 2000 operating system," said Donna Grothjan, vice president and general manager of software products for Ingram Micro. Not only will we offer online assistance through our exclusive Web site, we have the most knowledgeable technical support specialists in the industry ready to help our customers sell and integrate Windows 2000.

Ingram Micro has a fully trained team of dedicated technical support staff, volume licensing specialists and telesales staff on hand to assist resellers. A team of 165 help-desk specialists with more than 3,500 hours of training on Windows 2000 and Windows 2000 third-party products will be available to assist with troubleshooting and areas such as product information, interoperability, compatibility and integration.

A Windows 2000 integration kit will also be mailed to resellers containing information on facilitating integration with third-party vendors and accessing all of the companys exclusive support options.

Resellers buying Windows 2000 products from Ingram Micro will also be eligible for 90 days of free, post-sales support, added Grothjan. Our goal is to offer the best programs and services in the channel. We are offering a solution to our customers that will help them become more competitive and, as a result, grow their business."

Ingram Micros exclusive Windows 2000 frequent buyer program, Skys The Limit, rewards resellers one point for every dollar spent on Microsoft Office 2000, and two points for every dollar spent on Windows 2000.
