INGRAM MICRO AND CORESTAFF ANNOUNCE STRATEGIC ALLIANCE TO OFFER IT STAFFING SERVICES TO VENTURETECH NETWORK

SANTA ANA, Calif., and HOUSTON, Texas, Jan. 6, 2000

Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE:IM) the world's largest wholesale provider of technology products and services, and CORESTAFF Services, a leading national staffing services firm, today announced a new alliance to provide information-technology staffing services to Ingram Micro's VentureTech Network membership.

Members of the VentureTech Network, an alliance of IT solutions integrators with more than 500 members focused on providing premium computer products, technology expertise and value-added services to the small and midsize business (SMB) market, now can access CORESTAFF Technology Group, a national network of experienced IT recruiting professionals, to find the contract and permanent IT employees they need for staff openings and client projects.

"With this new partnership, CORESTAFF gives our members access to a new level of services and solutions in locating those in-demand IT workers for their clients and their own organization," said Rick Sbrocca, vice president and general manager, VentureTech Network. "Our goal is to support our members by providing cost effective access to high-quality, high-value service providers."

In January 2000, VentureTech Network members will be able to order IT employees online through the member Web site.

CORESTAFF Technology Group will administer VentureTech Network staffing orders centrally and utilize two software tools unique in the industry as part of its service delivery system.

The company's exclusive COREtrack software will be utilized to track and traffic all order activity and maintain quality assurance metrics. Tapping the next generation of online recruiting for this program, CORESTAFF recruiters are utilizing SearchLines, the company's private online job matching service, to speed the process of locating and qualifying IT candidates. SearchLines is powered by e-Recruiter software from Hire.com, the leading e-recruiting application service provider.
