INGRAM MICRO, MULTIPLE ZONES INTERNATIONAL SIGN OUTSOURCING AGREEMENT

SANTA ANA , Calif., Nov. 15, 1999

Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE:IM), the world's largest wholesale provider of technology products and services, today announced it has signed a contract with Multiple Zones International to provide outsourcing services for its direct-sales fulfillment.

With this outsourcing agreement, Ingram Micro becomes the primary source for technology products for Multiple Zones operations by providing comprehensive services for product procurement, logistics and order fulfillment. Multiple Zones is a premier, solutions-based direct reseller of brand name computer products and services and has grown significantly over the past few years, with 1998 annual sales in excess of $500 million.

"Today's announcement illustrates our commitment to being a total solution provider," states Robert Grambo, executive vice president and president, Ingram Micro U.S. "The agreement with Multiple Zones is among a growing list of outsourcing partners with Ingram Micro. Technology vendors and resellers, such as Multiple Zones, are realizing they can provide better availability and reduce operating costs by focusing on their core competencies and relying on Ingram Micro as an outsourcing partner as the supply chain evolves."

In an effort to further support its technology resellers and vendors partners, Ingram Micro has signed other agreements similar to the one with Multiple Zones. In February, Software Spectrum Inc. announced a key partnership distribution agreement with Ingram Micro to outsource all of its physical distribution of products to customers in the United States and Canada. In April, Elcom International Inc. announced a major strategic outsourcing alliance, in which Ingram Micro is the primary supplier of personal computers for Elcom's U.S. corporate and consumer customers. Also in July, Unisys Corp. announced that Ingram Micro will provide IT procurement, logistics, systems configuration and assembly services for the Unisys Federal Online electronic-commerce system. In August, CompUSA Inc. signed a contract with Ingram Micro for outsourcing services for its direct-sales fulfillment and configuration operations. In September, SARCOM announced Ingram Micro will become the company's exclusive IT procurement, configuration and assembly partner. In September, Ingram Micro signed an outsourcing agreements with Telenor IT Service & Installasjon in Norway to provide fulfilment and configuration services. In September, Ingram Micro announced an outsourcing agreement with GE Capital IT Solutions in Denmark.
