Inter@ctive Week Magazine Lists Ingram Micro as No. 1 Online Distributor

Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE:IM), the world's largest wholesale provider of technology products and services, has been ranked No. 8 on the Internet 500 as listed by Inter@ctive Week Magazine in a Nov. 12, 1999 press release. The Internet 500 is the publication's first ranking of the 500 largest firms by Internet revenue.
The Internet 500 rankings were researched by Inter@ctive Week in conjunction with the Center for e-Business at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Ernst & Young, the public accounting firm.
Following a Web site redesign in September of this year, weekly traffic on Ingram Micro's site has recently increased approximately 70 percent to just under 15 million hits per week, making ingrammicro.com one of the world's most active business-to-business Web sites. Traffic on the site as well as the use of other Web-based commerce tools is expected to continue to increase as more customers turn to online ordering for technology purchasing.
