ELECTRONIC RESOURCES LIMITED CLOSES ITG COMPUTERS TAKEOVER OFFERSYDNEY, Australia, April 12, 1999Electronic Resources Australia Pty Limited, a subsidiary of Ingram Micro, announced today that the contract of sale for the purchase of the assets of ITG Computers Pty Ltd. was signed on April 12, 1999. Following the acquisition, both organizations will continue to trade as separate entities and for the next 60 days it will be business as usual so there will be little or no disruption for resellers. The back end integration of the two businesses is already under way and by the end of June 1999 the integration project will be completed. The merged organization will become the Australian office of U.S.-based IT distributor, Ingram Micro. Over the coming months, it is expected that major announcements will be made in regards to new relationships with major vendors.
