INGRAM MICRO KICKS OFF 9-CITY SHOWCASE TOURSANTA ANA, Calif., April 5, 1999Ingram Micro Inc., the world's largest wholesale distributor of technology products and services, announced today it will launch its premier traveling trade show, Showcase '99, on April 7 in Anaheim, California. Showcase provides resellers an opportunity to discover new products, attend informative seminars, learn about the latest technologies, and meet with manufacturers and Ingram Micro representatives. The trade show is free of charge to resellers. "We are very excited about Showcase '99, which will feature a host of new technology seminars and demonstrations, including a first look at Microsoft's Windows 2000 server and Ingram Micro's new Frameworks online configuration tool. The 9-city travelling trade show provides resellers with an opportunity to meet with more than 120 vendors in a location convenient for them," said Janet Clancy, vice president of marketing for Ingram Micro. Furthermore, Showcase '99 will focus on Smart Solutions For Small Business, options in fiber channel and storage area networks, as well as integrating CTI business solutions. Resellers will discover how remote access or high-speed networking can enhance their customers' enterprise. Manufacturers will also be on hand with tabletop displays and informative demonstrations. Resellers will be treated to lunch, a hosted reception followed by a sit-down dinner and entertainment by either Saturday Night Live veteran comedian, Kevin Nealon, or Robert Wuhl, critically acclaimed stand-up comedian on HBO's show ARLI$$, as well as have a chance to win great prizes.
