INGRAM MICRO APPOINTS DAVID W. RUTLEDGE TO PRESIDENT OF LATIN AMERICASANTA ANA, Calif., Nov. 26, 1996 "David has been an instrumental force behind our global expansion strategy for the past five years," said Jeffrey R. Rodek, president and worldwide chief operating officer of Ingram Micro. "During this time, he has done a tremendous job juggling our international operations on two continents, in addition to the Export Division. This appointment will allow him to focus entirely on one geographic region." In this new role, Rutledge will be responsible for supervising Ingram Micro's operations in Latin and South America, and the Export Division in Miami and Santa Ana. He will continue to develop and expand Ingram Micro's in-country operations in these geographic regions through acquisitions and strategic partnerships. Prior to joining Ingram Micro in 1991, he served as vice president and general counsel for Ingram Industries, Ingram Micro's former parent company. Rutledge holds a bachelor of science degree and a law degree from the University of Kentucky, and a master's degree in business administration from Vanderbilt University. Ingram Micro has been selling products into Latin America since 1988. The company's Export Division serves resellers in 85 countries through six offices located in Brussels, Belgium; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Miami, Fla.; Quito, Ecuador; Santa Ana, Calif.; and Tokyo, Japan.
