(NYSE: IM), the largest global wholesale provider of technology products and supply chain management services, has received a number of awards from major manufacturers in recognition of the company's many contributions to the IT channel. Ingram Micro U.S. recently was named 2001 North American Distributor of the Year by Symantec (Nasdaq: SYMC). Ingram Micro was recognized for substantially increasing sales of Symantec's consumer and enterprise products and for its commitment to working with Symantec as part of the Symantec Partner Program. The region also was named Distributor of the Year by Cisco Systems (Nasdaq: CSCO) for outstanding performance in providing Cisco with the greatest overall revenue contribution while achieving the highest reseller customer satisfaction survey scores during Cisco's fiscal 2001.
