S. operations, including the company's corporate offices in Santa Ana, Calif., and Buffalo, N.Y., has achieved ISO 9002 certification by KPMG Quality Registrar. The ISO 9002 certification indicates that Ingram Micro has met a set of global quality standards devised by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Meeting the ISO standards is an important prerequisite for companies doing business internationally. KPMG Quality Registrar, a business unit of KPMG LLP serving as an RAB accredited certified body, audited and certified the processes and procedures for all of Ingram Micro's U.S. business units including customer service, returns, consolidation, operations, configuration, distribution centers, sales and purchasing. Ingram Micro's ISO 9002 certification status remains in effect for three years and will be reviewed every six months by KPMG as part of a standard surveillance audit process. The company has designated quality managers to maintain and continually improve processes, procedures and customer satisfaction and ISO certification requirements.
